Partnerships for the Goals

Aug 30, 2020 | News & Events

NDVS’ Theme is SDG #17: Partnerships for the Goals

“To successfully implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, we must swiftly move from commitments to action. To do that, we need strong, inclusive and integrated partnerships at all levels.” – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

The primary goal of #17 Partnership for the Goals is to revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.

In 2015, world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that aims to end poverty, tackle inequalities and combat climate change. We need everyone to come together — governments, civil society, scientists, academia and the private sector — to achieve the sustainable development goals.

We are all in this together. The Agenda, with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), is universal and calls for action by all countries, both developed countries, and developing countries, to ensure no one is left behind. Source: Partnerships: Why They Matter.pdf

The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur value Communication of all its forms! We bond with one another through verbal and non-verbal communications, for building and strengthening our relationships internationally and cross-culturally, and for collaborating with our Associates, Notre Dame Mission Volunteers, Co-workers, and Partners in Mission. We network for the Mission of the Gospel, the Church and our Religious Congregation in making known God’s goodness in our time, and in all the places where we serve. We commit ourselves to stand with those made poor by the unjust structures of the society.
