Response to the cry of the earth

Oct 3, 2021 | News & Events

The Laudato Si’ Movement

The Laudato Si’ Movements are based on millions of activities (inspired by Laudato Si’) of Christians, the Catholic Church, churches, religions and secular partners around the world.

LaudatoSi.org promotes visibility and exchange of the rich diversity of the Laudato Si’ Movements for the common care for our common home. We are guided by Pope Francis Encyclical Laudato Si’ in ecumenical spirit and interreligious solidarity.

Laudato Si’ Action Platform

“…bring the whole human family together . . . for we know that things can change” (Laudato Si’ 13)

Laudato Si’ calls us toward sustainability in the spirit of integral ecology. With profound care for each other, our Creator, and all creation, we are building a better future together. (Google image search)

“Discerning a response to the ecological crisis is a profound act of care. At this kairos moment, action is needed. The Laudato Si’ Goals guide our actions. Their holistic approach supports a spiritual and cultural revolution as we strive for total sustainability in the spirit of integral ecology.”  Source: [  https://laudatosiactionplatform.org/ ]

NDVS Action Goal for October:
RESPONSE TO THE CRY OF THE EARTH

The Response to the Cry of the Earth is a call to protect our common home for the wellbeing of all, as we equitably address the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, and ecological sustainability. Actions could include the adoption of renewable energies and energy sufficiency measures, achieving carbon neutrality, protecting biodiversity, promoting sustainable agriculture, and guaranteeing access to clean water for all.

We commit ourselves to stand with those made poor by the unjust structures of the society.
